Dr. Wax attended Louisiana State University and the LSU School of Medicine (LSUHSC). He completed an Orthopedic Surgery residency at LSUHSC and a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of Miami. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the Greater New Orleans Orthopedic Society, and the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association.
Dr. Wax is proficient at advanced procedures of the hand and upper extremity and has a special interest in microvascular surgery and hand trauma.
